Buyback General

Go to Bookstores.com, enter your book's ISBN, and accept the offer if you’re satisfied. Complete the checkout process, print the prepaid shipping label, and send your books within 5 days of creating your order.

You can sell college textbooks, novels, and other books that are in good condition and have an ISBN. Make sure to check our Terms & Conditions for further details.

The minimum order value ensures that the cost of shipping and processing is covered. Our minimum required buyback order is $15.

We do not provide prepaid shipping labels for international addresses.

No, books cannot be removed from an order after submission.

Your order may have been cancelled if you didn’t ship your books within 5 days. Please check your email for cancellation details or contact support.

Once your order has been cancelled it cannot be uncancelled. Please create and submit a new buyback offer.

No. Cancelled orders will not have a valid shipping label.

Bookstores.com has the right to close an account for any reason. Contact support@bookstores.com for more information.

The Selling Process

From the time you ship your books, it typically takes 2 weeks to complete the process and issue payment.

Prices are based on market demand, the book’s condition, and our current inventory needs.

We may limit the number of copies we’ll buy of a single title to avoid overstock. For bulk selling, email bulkseller@bookstors.com.

Reasons may include: the book’s condition didn’t meet standards, incorrect ISBN, or counterfeit. You will receive a notification email for price adjustments.

Payment may be adjusted for poor condition, different ISBN, counterfeit, or missing book. A notification email will be sent with any adjustments. Quotes are subject to recalculation if the book is sent after 5 business days.

Buyback Shipping

We provide a prepaid shipping label. Pack books securely, attach the label, and drop off at the carrier. You can generate another label via your account.

Contact support@bookstores.com. We can resend or provide alternative options.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept damaged books if the damage occurs in transit.

We only accept shipments from within the contiguous US (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico).

After you complete your order, download and print the prepaid label. You will also receive instructions via email. Check spam or log into your account to access it.

Buyback Payment

Choose PayPal or Venmo. Payments are issued 1–2 business days after processing.

PayPal and Venmo are currently available. A valid PayPal account is required for Venmo.

No, check payments are not available.

No, changes to payment method are not allowed after submission.

If the books don’t match condition or edition, your payment may be adjusted. You’ll be notified of any changes.

How and What Should I Sell?

We do not accept: books without a copyright page or ISBN, one-time-use items (e.g. used access codes), damaged books, books with strong odors, missing pages, ARCs, missing supplemental materials, or counterfeit books.

An ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a unique identifier for a book.

Yes, different editions or formats may have different ISBNs. Use the one from the copyright page.

No, international editions are not accepted.

Only if the quote doesn’t require the code. If required, the access code must be unused.

No, the complete set is required.

Only with minimal or no writing. Heavily marked workbooks are not accepted.

Only brand new looseleaf editions under the correct ISBN in unopened shrink-wrap are accepted.
