Telling the story of the only firefly in Insectropolis who cannot glow, this chapter book follows Twinkle Ray, daughter of Ultra and Violet Ray, who lives in a garden along with the ants, crickets, bees, spiders, and butterflies. At Insectamentary School, Twinkle is teased and tormented by a group of other firefly girls who enjoy short circuiting her self-esteem. However, as problems start to arise in the fantastical insect city, Twinkle faces the biggest challenge of her life when those same girls who have tortured her now need her help.
