Bankrolled by Playboy's Hugh Hefner, edited by Mad creator Harvey Kurtman and staffed by a variety of Mad alumni, Trump was basically a classier, more adult version of Mad with lavish production values. As such, the cartoonists involved understood the significance of the enterprise and handed in some of the most accomplished work of their collective careers. Shortly after issue two went to press, however, Trump was finished. Fifty years later, Fantagraphics are proud to present the two-issue set in full regalia.
