Deborah McKee, née Malt, was born in Nottingham, England. Her family immigrated to Orillia, Ontario, Canada in the mid 70's. Matthew McKee was born in North Bay, Ontario, and raised in Orillia, Ontario for most of his life.

Both met one night in a pub at the college after each of their classes had finished. It was a bizarre way to meet, but the way it happened was as if someone had planned it from the first. Both were stubborn, but both got along with each other and knew what to expect from the other.

Who would know what would happen in the future. If everyone knew their future would they continue on? Would they try to change it? Could they change it? It has been said that some people have been destined to be together from the first. If this is true, have Deb and Matt been destined to be together for some unknown reason?

Deb and Matt are traveling a very rocky road. There have been times when some people wonder why they are still together. Hope has been found; it is out there for anyone who wants it. Together, some people can conquer anything.
