Excerpt from book: CHAPTER III THE SECRET OF BALSH'S DISAPPEARANCE Tracy Balsh had not been seen for some two weeks. During this time Hutchins had more than once inquired over the telephone, and been informed by Tracy's man that his master was ill. Hutchins gave a few seconds each time to wondering what in reality might be the matter. With Tracy in his eye as he was accustomed to seeing him, he could lay his delinquency to almost anything sooner than physical disability.
