This is History is the Schools History Project's radical new scheme of work for National Curriculum History.

The Twentieth Century is their new approach to the compulsory unit: The Twentieth Century World.

The Pupil's Book investigates the two World Wars, the Cold War and the Holocaust - the compulsory content of this National Curriculum unit. It explores why these events are regarded as significant and what criteria this suggests for historical significance.

It also focuses on the stories of individuals caught up in these world events and investigates the impact of these events on them.

This Teacher's Resource Book supports the Pupil's Book with:

- detailed notes on how to use the Pupil's Book in the classroom

- photocopiable worksheets supporting the major tasks

- writing frames and further help with differentiation

- suggested links to ICT resources.
