Charles Webster Leadbeater was an ordained Anglican priest who left his Church to follow the spiritual disciplines and teachings of the Theosophical Society. In 1883 he traveled to India and underwent strict spiritual training, including Kundalini Yoga, a discipline that vivifies the chakras and opens the third eye.
