Overview

In this book by renowned cartoonist Jules Feiffer, the character he calls Leo stops being 42 & begins being two-years-old. Leo's drives are straightforward, once he's two again. He wants a piggy-back, wants to be bathed, & diapered & fussed over. Most of all, he wants to have his own way! We also meet Leo's parents, his family, & the other men-who-have-become-two-year-olds. Everyone, everything is drawn, lettered, created, at white-hot speed -- as if Feiffer were trying to keep up with ideas & images tumbling out his head, trying to capture them before they escaped & were gone. Feiffer originally published this book in 1979, when the term Ôinner child' had scarcely been coined, but it stands as an exploration of, & wary paean to the child inside.
