This edited volume focuses on the consequences of structured social inequality for racial and ethnic groups with United States society. It examines the relationship between differential access to valued resources and the social position of racial and ethnic minorities today. The goal of this work is to show students how oppression, due to race, ethnicity, or gender, still exists today and how it is relevant to their every day lives.
