Grade 8 spelling has 34 weekly lessons and a review every sixth lesson. Lessons are divided into 4 parts. Part A teaches Latin or Greek roots and etymologies. Part B exercises building words with affixes. Part C practices phonics details taught earlier. Part D is a series of studies on semantics and the history of the English language.
