My goal with the Shout Fear Out! Series is to free kids from the debilitating effects of fear by using creatures that commonly invoke fear to create teachable moments. The story, Snake! has the added bonus for kids to be in motion. This is the perfect book for a classroom setting. Teachers can have students take turns wearing a safari hat and being the scout who leads the class doing what Camilla the snake does each time she is afraid. The interactive style of each of the stories is designed as a listening exercise to help kids listen and anticipate what is coming next. My hope is that kids and readers will enjoy predicting when they can shout, and have the satisfaction of letting it out.
