Complicated relationship triangles plague the characters of these two novellas by Latin American writer Jos#65533; Bianco. In Shadow Play, three sections  give focus to three different characters in turn, and each battles the dangerous balance between love and loss, as well as the varying forms in which the two sides can manifest. The Rats reveals the complex desires and motives involved in a twisted family secret. Intensely psychological, there  is more than one mystery at work in the story.
