Overview
Smith's poetry has the clarity of crystal. These poems are accessible but not comfortable to read. I read the collection cover-to-cover but know I shall have to return to it again. The book makes good use of white space which encourages readers to pause and think - they need to. // It is a very cohesive collection and provided me with valuable insight into the problems and symptoms of mental health. Since one in six of us will at some stage in our lives experience mental ill-health, I hold this book up as something we should all read and absorb. A collection of fine poetry with something to say: I strongly recommend it. Carol Thistlethwaite: Carillon Magazine
