Overview

The enfant terrible of the Danish art scene is a risk taker who places both himself and the viewer in extremely dangerous real-life situations as part of his practice. The works confronts issues of politics, pollution, ownership and the perceptions of life and death. In 2004 he braved -23 degrees to pour 3,000 litres of red paint over an iceburg near Greenland, sparking heated debate. He has since painted mountains such as Mont Blanc, and a trilogy in the Sahara.
