As part of the Global Youth Network activities, this publication contains the report of a youth meeting, held in September 2000 in Mexico, to discuss how performance art forms such as dance, theatre, drama, public speaking and music can be used to help combat drug abuse. The guidelines are based on the experience of youth across the world, and are designed to aid youth workers or youth groups who wish to develop performance prevention programmes or incorporate performance arts in existing programmes.
