Overview
Charles Reade was born in 1814 in England. He used his writings to attack the social injustices of his time. Before becoming a writer Reade studied for the bar and then sold violins. Peg Woffington, written in 1907, is a sentimental romance. Harry Vane has decided to remain in London after seeing Ms Woffington on the stage. He has fallen in love with her. Harry sends her notes and one night he sends her flowers with a note asking her to wear them if she in interested in the gentleman sending her the notes. What will she do in the last act?
