When two corpses are found lovingly entwined in a school broom cupboard, Pete Kelsey, husband of one of the bodies, is the prime suspect. However, he swears he has nothing to do with murdering his adulterous wife. Detective J. P. Beaumont believes him, but there's a secret Pete's not telling which spells serious trouble to come.
