RELATE is a questionnaire developed by marriage and family professionals that enables individuals or couples to learn about themselves and what they bring to intimate relationships. RELATE is a relationship inventory developed by a team of scholars, researchers, family life educators, and therapists from varied educational and religious backgrounds. It can be taken by individuals who may or may not be in a serious relationship, or by couples who want their responses analyzed together. RELATE focuses on the key contexts of relationship satisfaction and stability: the individual (personality, values, interaction style), family (past and present relationships), cultural (race, religion, social class, geography), and the couple (patterns of interaction). Users complete the entire survey of 270 multiple choice questions on the Web. Upon submitting their responses, they receive a report electronically that organizes their responses, provides feedback, and helps them discuss similarities and differences with a partner.
