This province is admirably situated prossessing similar geological conditions to that of Salta and the southern part of Bolivia, consequently its mineral riches ought to be great. The Cerros of Cobalonga, Santa Catalina, Cochinoco, Aguilar, Zenta, Calilegua, Barbara traverse the province in a northern and southern direction, from which there are various branches and ramifications with deep gorges, in all directions covering a large extent of land.
