Die Lupe is a series of German readers, written for pupils in order to motivate and inspire them to read German books for pleasure. The series has three difficulty levels - all colour coded - with four books in each, for Key Stage 3 and 4 learners. This reader is part of the level three series. It is the rags to riches story of Madonna, a fiercely independent singer who has always refused to abide by convention.
