We seek to establish a means of relating to another to provide deep and meaningful fulfillment that nurtures and sustains us. Love is commonly experienced by way of a romantic relationship with a partner with whom we feel compatible.

The emotion of love is most often represented by the image of a heart, the organ that pumps life throughout the body. Loving another has many events that can affect us in many different ways. We can experience joy, anguish, longing, desperation, and confusion.
