Very far away, I could not say how far, I saw, or thought I saw, several ships; but the sprays drove into my face and the wind blew the tears out of my eyes. "Ships," I answered him. "A lot of ships--a whole convoy of ships." "Ah," he answered, "thats no convoy. Thats the fleet blockading Brest, my son. That cutters a revenue cruiser, and shes new from home; her bottoms clean, otherwise wed dropped her. Shes going to head us off into the fleet, and then there will be James MKenna." "Who was he?"
