This is an investigation of British Muslims' perceptions of themselves and the dilemmas they face. It also deals with the reality behind distorted media images through first-hand accounts of the Muslim community in Bradford--the city at the epicenter of anger towards Salman Rushdie's controversial novel, The Satanic Verses and scene of violent riots in 2001.
