Now, Tim Ebersole, the leader of the neo-Nazi group Murphy blamed for his wife's death, has been murdered, and suspicion is immediately cast on Murphy. He can't help his defense much since he can't remember if he did - or didn't - pull the trigger.

Murphy is finally ready to rejoin the living, and ends up knocking on Hannah Whitefield’s door. Hannah had been a dear friend, and the woman who introduced Murphy to his wife. Though they share an undeniable attraction, Murphy keeps her at arm's length. But when it becomes clear that Ebersole's followers are targeting Murphy and Hannah to avenge their leader's death, Murphy must face the horrifying prospect of losing another woman he loves.

As he races toward a deadly confrontation, he must decide - surrender his life to save Hannah, or risk everything to salvage whatever future they may have together.
