Fred Burstein is the author of eight children's books, many of which have won awards.

As we read we get to know a variety of birds in their natural environment. The same for Gracie. So the reader follows in her rather large footsteps and learns how each bird in the woodland lives, eats, sees. This book is like Gracie's own mind-movie.
