Overview

GMAT testing has changed recently and will require different strategies on the part of test-takers. Barron's has kept pace, releasing this thoroughly revised and updated test prep manual with a recommended optional software program for Windows "RM". The old pencil-and-paper version of the GMAT has been phased out except in certain areas outside the United States. The old format has been replaced by an entirely new computer-adaptive test format. Just as important to test-takers, Educational Testing Service's previous practice of announcing nationally scheduled test dates no longer applies. Test-takers are now directed to schedule for testing individually by phoning Educational Testing Service at (609) 921-9000.

Barron's new GMAT manual explains the new computer-adaptive test format in detail, and the optional software offers practice tests that utilize a scoring algorithm similar to that of the actual GMAT.
