This book for young people tells the life story of George H. W. Bush, the 41st pres. of the U.S. (& father of 43rd pres. George W. Bush). Describes his family and his life growing up in Greenwich, CT, with summers in Maine. Tells his experiences in the Navy during WW2 when he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war George married Barbara Pierce and attended Yale Univ. The family then moved to Texas ³to learn the oil bus.² George entered politics and went on to become U.S. amb. to the UN and then to China, head of the CIA, and vice pres. under Ronald Reagan.
