With each passing night, Malcolm Cicchio is losing one minute of sleep. At this rate, he figures, his heart will explode in about sixteen months. But no matter how much time he has left, Malcolm has some things he'd like to get done. For example, he's got to organize a "foreign film festival"-i.e., a screening of Bergman's Wild Strawberries-at the run-down theater he manages, to impress the pretty suicide-hotline volunteer he just met. He still wants to get his wristwatch back from his ex-girlfriend Lena (does she really need it when she's about to marry a cardiologist?). And there was one other thing...oh, yeah-getting a life.
