Proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Estuarine and Coastal Modeling, held in Alexandria, Virginia, October 22-24, 1997.

This collection contains 60 peer-reviewed papers on recent developments and applications of estuarine and coastal models. Papers describe recent model developments, applications, and interpretations and visualization of results. A special session covered the state of the art in nowcasting and forecasting of the currents for the sailing events associated with the 1996 Olympic Games.
