From a small isolated island, a strange young man called Wolf, is thrust forward to repel the first attempts by the Romans to invade the southwest coast of England. The brutality of the invaders turns this simple man into a
feared killer. Watched over by the last of a mysterious ancient race, he becomes a great warrior who is befriended, loved, and then murdered, by a warlike Queen.
As his name and deeds disappear through the mist of time; his genes are
re-awakened in Captain Abe, a notorious smuggler and wrecker during the
Napoleonic wars. His hate for another hard captain of the sea, brings murder
and riches through the capture of a French merchant ship. Chased by the
revenue and the French, changes the hate between the two captains to
respectful admiration as they fight for the survival of their trade.
Mortally wounded by French assassins, Abe is visited by the spirit of Wolf,
who guides him on his last voyage.
1943. During this time of war and unnecessary deaths by blunder of many young American soldiers. The finding of Wolf''s bones by a simple quarryman and
descendant of Abe''s, threatens to turn known history into turmoil.
