Contributors focus on the skills essential for successful relationships, such as: the management of conversation; the ability to listen to others; the development and practical use of relational knowledge; the understanding of the sequences of both verbal and non-verbal behaviour; the development of dispositional beliefs about one′s partner; and awareness of how future expectations influence the meaning of relational behaviour.
