Hopeless as her state now was, and most precarious, for her medical advisers were of opinion that any attack might prove fatal; yet since week after week passed, and left her in much the same state, her parents became naturally most anxious to have her once more under their own roof. But the journey 200 miles and the motion of the easiest wheel-chair increased the frequency and severity of the attacks. Her father's strong faith, that the Lord would carry her through, prevailed over every difficulty. Speaking of the delay of a week, which seemed advisable, he says: It may please God to make you then more able to bear the journey; and be assured, my dearest child, His will is your safety and your happiness, so that you need have no fear about the journey or its consequences; as thy day is so shall thy strength be. Be not afraid, only believe. The Great and Good One we trust in and love, directs all our minds about it; and joyfully, my child, commit all to Him.
