Following a painful divorce, Rachel McGill has rebuilt her life. She has a new home, two beautiful girls, priceless bestfriends, but in a split second, it's all taken away.

Her ex-husband of six years, Jack McGill, wakes to a call that Rachel is comatose after an automobile accident. Without hesitation Jack leaves San Francisco and heads for Big Sur to be with his former family.
