To those acquainted with proceedings of this nature it is not unknown, that the practice which formerly obtained was far different. Nothing of this kind accompanied the accusatory eloquence of the subject of this memoir. Every Mr. Burke, on the trial of Mr. Hastings, thing was manly and dignified.
