Overview

This book relates the story of Brigham Young, who became the leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (better known as the Mormons) after the founder Joseph Smith was murdered by an angry anti-Mormon mob. Called an American Moses, he moved the Mormons to a land where they could live in peace. The settlement of what later would become the state of Utah is considered one of the greatest pioneering achievements of the Wild West.
