The sketch portrayed in this little work, is one of perfect truthfulness, being given to the writer by the lady of a Baptist minister now in this country, who was personally acquainted with Elizabeth from her infancy until her death. Children possessing traits of character so truly angelic, make their appearance but seldom on this sin-marred earth, and therefore it is a pleasure to record their visits, though such records receive not the credence which is their due.
