The book addresses the questions of abnormal language behaviour caused by brain damage. In aphasia, linguistic problems are often accompanied by motor difficulties (speech, apraxia, dysarthria), or speech perception problems. Fifteen aphasic subjects and five age-matched normal controls were administered a variety of tests to analyse their phonological production and perception abilities. Each subject's behaviour is described in detail, and several types of phonological errors are distinguished.
