First, I want to ask you in- general way, under this Curtis law, as I understand it, and the various agreements which have been made, the United States, through the Secretary of the Interior, administers that government? Except under the agreement, section 29, and only in reference to the royalties from asphalt, coal, and school matters of those two nations. The agreement in section 29 continues the tribal government for eight years, except as modified by that agreement, and in that agreement it expressly provides that the royalties from asphalt and coal shall be collected nuder the direction of the Secretary of the Interior and applied to the education of Indian children.
