This title seeks to teach health care students the fundamentals of therapeutics while simultaneously teaching them problem solving techniques. To accomplish this goal, case studies are woven throughout each disease and disorder chapter to illustrate concepts and principles of therapeutics as well as to give the student practice in developing a therapeutic care plan. Didactic information is provided as well in each disease and disorder chapter to ensure complete coverage of the basic principles and concepts of therapeutics. The result of this approach should be a firm understanding of the disease states and their treatment as well as how to then apply this information to pharmaceutical care.
